The Route des Grande Alpes is an historic route through the French Alps taking in about 17 of the highest passes and three national parks.  It runs from Thonon Les Bains on Lake Geneva to Menton/Nice and is approximately 450 miles long.  The return trip will take the Route Napoleon which runs from Grasse to Grenoble.

The dates cited are from Thoron Les Bains and returning to the channel tunnel.  Individuals may have different routes in mind to the start.
